‘Saint Mary’ series to be aired on ifilm

Iranian series ‘Saint Mary’ has been set for airing by ifilm English TV.

The series, produced by Hassan Ali-Akbari and directed by Shahriyar Bahrani, will start on Saturday, September 7, 2019.

Saint Mary, the mother of Jesus, is one of the most cherished holy figures for Muslims. She is the symbol of purity and fortitude. To celebrate her life, this series paints a picture of her in the fashion Islam portrays her.

Notable among the cast are Shabnam Qolikhani, Mahtab Keramati, Jafar Dehqan, Parviz Pour-Hosseini, Mehdi Faqih, Reza Tavakkoli, Fakhreddin Seddiq-Sharif, Kourosh Tahami, Hossein Yari, Roya Teymourian, Shirin Bina, and Mohammad Kasbi.

‘Saint Mary’, produced in 2000, is scheduled to replace ‘In the Eye of the Storm’ by Masoud Jafari-Jozani, which will be aired daily at 19:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the drama on the next day at 03:00, 08:00 and 14:00 (all GMT times). The series comprises 11 episodes.
